Black Channa With Green Masala Recipe

Black Channa With Green Masala Recipe is a tasty and super delicious dish. It is easy to prepare and takes just about 30 minutes to make it.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups black channa/Bengal Grams, soaked, boiled
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 6-7 curry leaves
  • 2 tablespoon oil

For Green Masala:

  • 1 bunch coriander leaves
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1  teaspoon cumin seeds

Method: Black Channa With Green Masala Recipe

  • Soak black channa overnight.
  • Wash and pressure cook the same with salt and turmeric powder and keep it aside.
  • Blend together all the ingredients under green masala and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat, add cumin seeds and let it get brown.
  • Lower the heat and slowly add the green chutney masala to the pan, be careful coz while adding this to the pan it gets splutter.
  • Add curry leaves, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt to taste and cook until the oil separates.
  • Add cooked channa and mix well with the masala.
  • Serve hot with poori’s or parathas.
