Ingredients:
- 1 kg Chicken (Medium pieces)
- 1 big Onion
- 4 Potatoes (Medium pieces) – Optional
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Oil
For Masala
- 10 Pepper (Kalamiri)
- 6 Cloves
- 1 piece Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Poppy Seeds
- 1\4 tsp Turmeric
- 3 big Onions
- 10/12 Green Chilies
- 1 inch Ginger
- 1 small pod Garlic
- 1 bunch Corriander Leaves
- 1 marble Tamarind
- 1 tsp Salt
Method:
- Grind all the masala items together to make a smooth thick paste.
- Heat oil in a vessel and fry onions to golden brown. Then add Chicken, Potatoes & salt and fry for 5 mins. Add masala and fry well.
- Keep on stirring till masala color darkens up. Add the masala water and stir well.
- Cover the vessel and boil on medium flame till Chicken & Potatoes are cooked.
- Taste and check if you need to add more salt.
