CHICKEN GREEN MASALA CURRY
Grind all the masala items together to make a smooth thick paste. Heat oil in a vessel and fry onions to golden brown. Then add Chicken, Potatoes & salt and fry for 5 mins. Add masala and fry well.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg Chicken (Medium pieces)
  • 1 big Onion
  • 4 Potatoes (Medium pieces) – Optional
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Oil

For Masala

  • 10 Pepper (Kalamiri)
  • 6 Cloves
  • 1 piece Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Poppy Seeds
  • 1\4 tsp Turmeric
  • 3 big Onions
  • 10/12 Green Chilies
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 1 small pod Garlic
  • 1 bunch Corriander Leaves
  • 1 marble Tamarind
  • 1 tsp Salt

Method:

  • Grind all the masala items together to make a smooth thick paste.
  • Heat oil in a vessel and fry onions to golden brown. Then add Chicken, Potatoes & salt and fry for 5 mins. Add masala and fry well.
  • Keep on stirring till masala color darkens up. Add the masala water and stir well.
  • Cover the vessel and boil on medium flame till Chicken & Potatoes are cooked.
  • Taste and check if you need to add more salt.
